What Is Carolina News Makers....

Carolina News Makers is a 30 minutes weekly public affair program that airs on many radio stations across North Carolina.

Each week Don Curtis and Mike Blackman interview newsmakers from across the Tar Heel State on the issues of the day.  From the local economy to crime to social programs to taxes and education...stories that effect our day-to-day lives are hot topics for Carolina News Makers.

Some of the many guests that have appeared on Carolina News Makers include Governor Mike Easley, State Supreme Court Justice I. Beverly Lake, Attorney General Roy Cooper and UNC President Molly Broad, just to name a few.

Carolina News Makers is more than just sound bites...it's in-depth answers to questions that need more than :20 seconds.

Carolina News Makers originally began as a 5 minutes Public Affairs program on WEWO in Laurinburg, North Carolina, one of the first stations owned by Don Curtis.  The program has grown from  being broadcast on one 5000 watt stations, to a host of powerful stations across North Carolina via satellite.
